BOOK YOUR GORILLA TREKKING PERMITS BEFORE 1ST APRIL TO SAVE $100 ON THE NEW TARIFF

Dear All,

I hope this message finds you well. We would like to bring to your attention some important updates regarding the permit tariffs for primate trekking experiences in Uganda’s national parks, as highlighted by the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA).

As communicated earlier, effective from July 1st, 2024, there will be an increase in permit fees for primate trekking experiences in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Mgahinga National Park, Kibale Forest National Park, and Queen Elizabeth National Park. The new tariffs are as follows:

  • Gorilla trekking permit fee for non-resident visitors: $800 (previously $700)
  • Chimpanzee permits in Kibale Forest National Park: $250 (previously $200)
  • Chimpanzee Habituation permits: $300 (previously $250)
  • Chimpanzee permits in Kyambura Gorge (Queen Elizabeth National Park): $100 (previously $50)

However, we are pleased to inform you that there has been a slight change in the implementation date of these new tariffs. Following discussions between the Association of Uganda Tour Operators and UWA, the new tariff will now come into effect from April 1st, 2024.

This adjustment presents an excellent opportunity for our clients to take advantage of the current permit fees before the increase. All bookings and payments made up to March 31st, 2024, will be processed using the old tariff (July 2022 to June 2024).

We encourage you to communicate this positive news to your clients and emphasize the benefits of booking their primate trekking experiences in Uganda before the tariff change takes effect. This provides them with an opportunity to secure permits at the current rate of $700 for gorilla trekking.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we look forward to your continued support.
