A Transformative Training Experience

In June 2023, Bridget took her first step into the world of hospitality by joining Café Kibale. Over a rigorous training period that concluded in October 2023, she immersed herself in every aspect of the business—from mastering bar service, kitchen operations, and restaurant management. This period marked a pivotal moment in her life, where the passion for her chosen field truly ignited.

From Trainee to Service Trainer

Just a few months after her initial training, Bridget’s hard work and natural talent were recognized when she was promoted to a service trainer at Café Budongo in April 2024. Being one of the few selected for this role was a proud milestone. This role not only honed her skills further but also solidified her place as an emerging leader in the industry. While excelling in her role at Café Budongo, Bridget found herself drawn to the wonders of nature. With Cafe Budongo offering immersive forest activities, she developed a keen interest in forest guiding. Eager to challenge herself further, Bridget applied to become a guide, excited by the opportunity to share the magic of the forest with guests. Her new role symbolizes a fusion of her hospitality expertise with her passion for nature.

Transitioning to forest guiding came with its own set of challenges.
